Sometimes you come across something on the internet that makes you despair of humans in general. On other days you find something like this, which appeared on the Mashable site and a host of others a few days ago telling the tale of the largest Lego construction ever made.
The 43ft long Lego Star Wars X-Wing Fighter is due to be an ongoing attraction at Legoland California, but as part of a promotion for the new Cartoon Network series Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles, the 46,000 lbs model was displayed in Times Square New York earlier this week. The glorious creation includes over 5 million bricks and took a team of 32 people four months to build.
I think it’s rather splendid.
